Privacy Policy

Introduction to Data Sovereignty

At Pillay, we recognize that data is the lifeblood of the modern AI economy. This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Pillay collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users of the website and clients of our Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) services. Your privacy is paramount, and we are committed to protecting the proprietary data and personal identifiers you entrust to us. By engaging with our platform, you consent to the data practices described in this statement, ensuring a transparent relationship between your brand’s digital identity and our optimization frameworks.

Information Collection and Data Categories

We collect information that identifies, relates to, describes, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or household. This includes professional identifiers such as your name and email address (contact@pillay.cloud), as well as technical data including IP addresses, browser types, and interaction history with our “Pillay AI” diagnostic tools. For our AEO services, we may also process business-related metadata, schema structures, and public-facing content provided by you to enhance your brand’s visibility within Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative search environments.

Utilization of Data for AI Optimization

The primary purpose of data collection at Pillay is to engineer superior visibility for your brand across the AI ecosystem. We utilize your information to perform deep-link analysis, execute structured data injection, and monitor your brand’s sentiment within various AI agents. Furthermore, data collected through our upcoming Pillay AI tool will be used to generate diagnostic reports and “LLM Rank” simulations. We do not use your proprietary business data to train our own models in a way that would compromise your competitive advantage, ensuring that your data serves only your growth objectives.

California Consumer Privacy Rights (CCPA)

As a California-focused entity, Pillay strictly adheres to the CCPA. Residents of California have the right to request that we disclose what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell. You have the right to request the deletion of your personal information maintained by Pillay, subject to certain exceptions required for legal or service-related continuity. We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal identification information to third-party data brokers. To exercise your “Right to Know” or “Right to Deletion,” please submit a verified request to our compliance officer at contact@pillay.cloud.

Third-Party Data Processing and AI Agents

In the course of providing AEO services, Pillay interacts with third-party platforms including, but not limited to, Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, and Microsoft. While we optimize your data for these entities, Pillay does not control the privacy practices of these third-party AI agents. We encourage our clients to review the privacy policies of the LLM providers they wish to target. Our role is strictly limited to the optimization and transmission of data to these platforms to facilitate your brand’s inclusion in their Knowledge Graphs and generative responses.

Security Protocols and Information Retention

Pillay adopts appropriate data collection, storage, and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal information and transaction data. We retain your information only for as long as is necessary to provide the contracted AEO services and to comply with our legal obligations under US law. Once the service period ends or a deletion request is verified, we employ secure data scrubbing techniques to ensure that your sensitive business metadata is permanently removed from our active diagnostic servers.

Updates to this Privacy Framework

Pillay has the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time to reflect changes in AI regulations or California state law. When we do, we will revise the updated date at the bottom of this page. We encourage users to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this privacy policy periodically and become aware of modifications that may affect your brand’s data standing in the evolving digital landscape.
